About PGW

Prism Glassworks, in the heart of beautiful downtown Troy, NY, is an independent glassblowing studio and gallery opened in 2001 by owner and head glassblower Phil Sundling. Our goal is to promote the creative growth of the American glass industry and provide an all-inclusive environment for glassblowers to express their art form.

We moved to our current location in the Little Italy neighborhood of Troy, an area with a tight knit blend of families, students and businesses, in 2011. We take pride in serving and connecting with our community. We offer an educational and professional setting for artists to come together, learn, and share ideas. Our facilities are equipped with many amenities not available at smaller studios (including an industrial lathe, multiple kilns, sandblasting booth, etc.), and offer benches for visiting artists to rent daily, weekly, or monthly.

Our gallery is open
Like many small businesses right now, we’re navigating a slower economy, and our artists have needed to take on part-time work. Because of this, the gallery will be open by appointment only for the time being — just send us a text and we’ll happily set up a time to see you. Shipping for all online orders will now go out at the end of each week, regardless of the shipping option selected. We’ll continue to do our very best to get everything out as quickly and smoothly as possible. Thank you so much for your continued support and understanding — it truly means a lot to us.
You can stroll in to watch us while we work and check out our glass gallery. We have a large selection of boutique pieces (such as glass art décor, glass balls, glass jewelry, belt buckles, wine stoppers, wine glasses) in addition to our functional glass art (such as dry pipes, water pipes, rigs, and related accessories).
